South African co-operatives to file in Inline XBRL

Certain co-operatives in South Africa will be expected to file their annual financial reports in Inline XBRL, or iXBRL, from 1 April 2022.

The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) of South Africa first implemented XBRL-based reporting for private companies in 2018, and has been working to progressively expand that mandate and enhance data quality.

Contact us to understand the filing requirements, including the questions of which co-operatives need to comply with the new requirements, what documents need to be submitted, and the fees to be paid.

We have been providing XBRL conversion and tagging services for companies in South Africa for filing with the CIPC.
